WHO WE ARE
IWC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Non-Government and
IWC operates as a "one stop shop" model that
offers centralised management and administration across a range of programs.
These programs are aimed at supporting and improving the health and wellbeing
of Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities across the Bundaberg, North
Burnett and Fraser Coast Regions. Additionally, IWC "champions" enterprises
that provide opportunities for employment, training and services that benefit
IWC is committed to achieving our mission of improving the health and wellbeing of Indigenous and Non-Indigenous peoples. To fulfil our mission we share four core values of: quality and recognition; professionalism; teamwork; and performance accountability. We utilize a holistic approach to build community capacity & provide greater opportunities for equity and equality.
The Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC)
embraces Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' values of spirituality,
connectedness to land and respect for culture by creating equality, equity and
opportunities to empower and enhance their lifestyles through the delivery of a
unique, high quality and culturally diverse health service model.
The Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC) provides holistic, high quality wellness services that build the capacity of Indigenous people through a focus on individual, family and community wellbeing.
