Community Services

Our community services operate through multiple programs including:
- Mens Group
- Women's Group
- Physical Activity Program
- Cultural Knowledge
- Yarning

Men's Group
Meeting weekly the Men's group is an opportunity for social connection, cultural knowledge, and Men's Business.
The group may be involved in activities such as: doing healthy activities; doing gym sessions; harvesting Gumbi Gumbi; visiting sites of cultural significance in the region, meeting at the IWC Health and Wellbeing Centre to yarn and share with each other.
Additionally, some Men may also volunteer/participate with IWC and our programs from a cultural/guidance perspective.

Women's Group
Meeting weekly, the Women's group is an opportunity for social connection, cultural knowledge, and Women's Business.
The group may be involved in activities such as: doing healthy activities; doing gym sessions; cultural arts and crafts (jewellery beading, crocheting); visiting sites of cultural significance in the region; meeting at the IWC Health and Wellbeing Centre to yarn and share with each other.
Additionally, some women may also volunteer/participate with IWC and our programs from a cultural/guidance perspective.

Cultural Knowledge Group
Most weeks, members of the Cultural Knowledge group meet to discuss and learn about culture, country, history and stories.
The group is open to all men and women of all ages.

Physical Activity Program
Held weekly, in conjunction with the men's and women's groups, the members of the groups attend the IWC Gym for a workout guided by a practicing physiotherapist from Pivot 21.
Allowing the members of the group to engage in safe physical activity, while also in a social setting.
