Why do I need a Filling?
A filling in a tooth will be required if you are experiencing a hole in the tooth from decay, or trauma.
Types of fillings
IWC offers Composite Fillings – a mixture of powdered glass and plastic resin, designed to look as much like the original tooth as possible.
Process of fillings
- Local anaesthetic will be administered if required
- Dental tools, including a drill, will be used to remove decay
- The filling substance is then placed in the clean, dry hole
You may experience some tooth sensitivity to hot or cold substances up to 2 weeks after the filling takes place. If sensitivity persists, please call to arrange a follow-up appointment.
