If you would like assistance around pregnancy, your new baby or family planning, the IWC has a friendly, supportive Midwifery service. It is offered in one-on-one sessions in Bundaberg and in the North Burnett at the IWC Gayndah Clinic.
IWC offers Speech Pathology at our IWC Health & Wellbeing Complex. We provide face-to-face and Telehealth consults.
Our Speech Pathologist can diagnose and treat communication disorders, including difficulties with speaking, listening, understanding language, reading, writing, social skills, stuttering and using voice.
We can work with people who have difficulty communicating because of developmental delays, stroke, brain injuries, learning disability, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, dementia and hearing loss, as well as other problems that can affect speech and language.
People who experience difficulties swallowing food and drink safely can also be helped by a Speech Pathologist.
The IWC Accredited Practising Dietitians can translate scientific nutrition information into practical, individually tailored advice that helps you make the right decisions about what you should eat.
Our Dietitians can offer nutritional advice on:
Chronic Disease Management (CDM)
Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)
Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational)
Food allergies and intolerances
General healthy eating
Bulk-billing available for clients on a GP Care Plan. Self-referral available. HICAPs facilities for clients with health insurance.

Ophthalmology and Optometry
The IDEAS Van (Indigenous Diabetes and Eyes Screening) visits IWC every two months, bringing Specialist treatment in the areas of Ophthalmology and Optometry. Please note that during COVID-19 this service is not visiting our region.
