IWC Dental Practice
IWC is non-government and Aboriginal community-controlled, and the ethos of our Dental Practice reflects the organisation’s charitable status and cultural responsiveness.
A primary expectation on IWC Dental Practice is to provide affordable, client-centric dental care that offers patients choice and ownership of treatment.
Core goals of IWC Dental Practice are based on affordability, accessibility and compassionate care:
Relief of pain and discomfort
Provision of treatment within an acceptable timeframe
Achievement of a “dentally fit” state
Planning of treatment to match patients’ financial capacity
Competent, courteous, effective service
Empathetic consultation, to identify patients’ desired outcomes
Support patients’ understanding that care choices belong to them
For IWC Dental practitioners, pain relief and stabilisation will tend to take priority over restoration procedures that may be more usual in other practices.
The IWC Dental Practice team plays a crucial role in transforming health and wellbeing of communities, breaking the cycle of disadvantage in our regions.
