All About Appointments
We understand that a trip to the dentist can be a big event for little ones — that’s why we go out of our way to make every visit comfortable, fun, and stress-free. Our dental team is experienced in working with children of all ages and prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment where kids feel safe and supported.
Call us at 1300 492 492 (option 2) to schedule an appointment for your child.
We operate a flexible appointment system and will accept urgent appointments where possible.
If you or your child requires a translator or interpreter, please let us know, and we will arrange a convenient time to book one for you.
You play an important role in helping your child feel confident and relaxed about their dental appointment. Here are some tips to help prepare them:
-
Talk positively about the visit. Let your child know the dentist is there to help keep their teeth strong and healthy.
-
Explain what to expect. Keep it simple – say things like “The dentist will count your teeth” or “They’ll use a little mirror to look inside your mouth.”
-
Read books or watch videos about visiting the dentist – these can help make the idea more familiar and fun.
-
Avoid using words like "hurt" or "needle". Focus on the positives and reassure them that you'll be nearby the whole time.
Upon arrival at our Health and Wellbeing Centre in Bundaberg, please make your way to our Dental Practice Reception, located on Ground Floor in Building 1. The Receptionist will check your contact and other details on each visit to assist in maintaining accurate records. Consultations usually take 30 minutes, however, longer appointments are available, where required.
If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask that you try and give 24 hours' notice. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a penalty. To cancel an appointment, call us on 1300 492 492.
