IWC gets behind Options Day 2018

AS LOCAL Area Coordinator for the Bundaberg region, IWC is proudly supporting Options Day 2018.

IWC sits on the committee with representatives of other organisations in the community who have dedicated valuable time to make this year’s event a true success.

Each year, Options Day attracts hundreds of people from across the region to learn more about the achievements of people with a disability, and the development of the disability support sector.

This September 13 will mark one year since the first NDIS plans were built; since then, hundreds more have been implemented across the community. Options Day is a great opportunity for people with a disability who have NDIS plans to see and interact with their providers in a setting reminiscent of a traditional marketplace.

There will be stalls lining the Bundaberg Multiplex, as well as music, games and entertainment for attendees.

With lucky door prizes and raffles to be won on the day, this is a great opportunity for the whole family to come out and get excited about the opportunities coming to Bundaberg through the NDIS.

This year, we have a special ambassador Nathan Donaldson, who will be giving people the opportunity to experience strain of competition in one of his specialised racing wheelchairs.

You can follow Options Day on Facebook to get all the latest information and updates, as well as information about the NDIS and stories about people living with disability in our community.
