General Practitioner - full or part-time, VR or non-VR

This fast-growing practice with a family-friendly working environment (Monday-Friday, office hours) is situated within in a beautiful lifestyle area just a short drive from both scenic coastal areas or rural tranquillity, and is just four hours’ drive north of Brisbane.

Stage 1 of the IWC Health & Wellbeing Complex opened in 2014, and has seen exponential client growth. Stage 2 of our Health & Wellbeing Complex is currently under construction, and due to open in 2019.

IWC is DWS registered - VR and non-VR GPs welcome. We offer a flexible working environment that can accommodate all levels of skill and experience, and our team of permanent GPs are all qualified as Supervisors.

IWC Medical Centre has an extensive administration and support team overseen by the Practice Coordinator, and the IWC Executive is involved in regular GP meetings to facilitate a proactive and responsive approach to continual improvement.

Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counsellor
Registered Nurse for Vaccination clinic

IWC seeks a part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE, from 45.6 hours per fortnight up to full time) Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) counsellor to conduct assessments and provide a range of counselling interventions to assist clients and their families associated with AOD use and promote recovery.

This position plays a critical role in the provision of effective AOD treatment and supporting the provision of holistic, wrap-around services according to the complexity of clients and their needs within a recovery focused framework.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Psychology or Social Work; or extensive experience in AOD counselling. 

  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment, treatment, planning and case management of client needs in a community setting.

Practice Capabilities Officer

A new opportunity has opened for a Practice Capabilities Officer within the Health and Medical service at IWC. This position is up to full-time hours and will work closely with the Health and Medical Manager to implement and monitor key changes to IWC’s existing services. 

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience with development and implementation of new processes. 

Experience Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of Medico-Legal and Clinical aspects and implementation within activities.

Physiotherapist

IWC seeks a Physiotherapist in an up to full-time capacity (up to 76 hours per fortnight – 9 day working roster) to join our Pivot 21 - Allied Health services team. All our Allied Health professionals work within a holistic model of compassionate care approach and this position is for an accredited and registered Physiotherapist who will be involved in the primary / clinical care services delivered by IWC.

Human Resources Officer

IWC seeks a full-time (76 hours per fortnight) Human Resources Officer to assist the Human Resources Manager in providing generalist support in the various human functions including (but not limited to): recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and improvements, investigation and disciplinary matters and employee wellbeing. This position works across all programs and services of IWC and has a diverse range of duties.  

Experience Required:

  • Previous Human Resources experience or relevant qualification.

Administration Assistant* – Social Health and Wellbeing

Maintenance and cleaning

IWC seeks a part-time (minimum 30 hours per fortnight) ancillary person to provide gardening services, outdoor cleaning, general repairs, and relief cleaning duties for annual / sick leave of cleaning staff.

Ancillary (maintenance, cleaning and driving)

This position will support the Maintenance Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of IWC properties. Duties include (but not limited to): mowing, hedge trimming, outdoor duties, general gardening and cleaning of building.

 As such, the appointed person will need to have availability from 7:00am until 9pm. With varied shifts dependent on duties required.
