General Practitioner - full or part-time, VR or non-VR

This fast-growing practice with a family-friendly working environment (Monday-Friday, office hours) is situated within in a beautiful lifestyle area just a short drive from both scenic coastal areas or rural tranquillity, and is just four hours’ drive north of Brisbane.

Stage 1 of the IWC Health & Wellbeing Complex opened in 2014, and has seen exponential client growth. Stage 2 of our Health & Wellbeing Complex is currently under construction, and due to open in 2019.

IWC is DWS registered - VR and non-VR GPs welcome. We offer a flexible working environment that can accommodate all levels of skill and experience, and our team of permanent GPs are all qualified as Supervisors.

IWC Medical Centre has an extensive administration and support team overseen by the Practice Coordinator, and the IWC Executive is involved in regular GP meetings to facilitate a proactive and responsive approach to continual improvement.

  • IWC also has Family & Community services to empower and support our clients / patients.

  • Our Medical Centre team includes GPs (all qualified to supervise), Indigenous Health Practitioners, RNs, ENs, Reception and Administration staff.

  • Stage 1 of the IWC Health & Wellbeing Complex has won awards for both design and construction. Each GP has a dedicated consult room.

Practice Capabilities Officer

A new opportunity has opened for a Practice Capabilities Officer within the Health and Medical service at IWC. This position is up to full-time hours and will work closely with the Health and Medical Manager to implement and monitor key changes to IWC’s existing services. 

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience with development and implementation of new processes. 

Experience Preferred:

  • Strong knowledge of Medico-Legal and Clinical aspects and implementation within activities.

General Practitioner - Gayndah, North Burnett

An exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to come aboard at our newly-built centre in Gayndah, North Burnett.

With established services in the North Burnett over the last decade and a team of health professionals already providing services within the region for IWC, you will be joining an award-winning and dynamic Medical Service, which delivers a unique holistic model of care. 

About You

As the successful applicant ideally you will be an experienced GP that has:

  • AHPRA Registration

  • ACCRM or ​RACGP Fellowship

  • Excellent communication and case presentation skills

Assistant Accountant

IWC has an exciting opportunity to work within its Finance department as a full-time, Assistant Accountant.

This position will work across all IWC programs and services, undertaking a wide variety of financial tasks in multiple systems. The aim of this role is to provide support to Management and the finance team of IWC.

 

Experience Required:

Accounting Degree (minimum requirement is Bachelor Degree / similar). 

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience Preferred:

  • SAP Business One

  • Payroll

  • Accounts experience, in particular financial reporting (min. 2 years)

Speech Pathologist / Therapist

IWC is seeking an accredited and registered Speech Pathologist / Therapist  for our Allied Health Professional team who are involved in  primary / clinical care services delivered by the IWC. This position is suitable for either an experienced Speech Pathologist / Therapist or a recent graduate.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formal and informal assessment of children and adolescents.

  • Treatment of children and adolescents

  • Collaboration with family and other stakeholders to develop individualised and family-centred treatment plans that incorporate a holistic view of the client.

  • Managing a varied and complex clinical caseload independently and to a high standard.

  • Participation in team meetings.

Medical Administration / Coordinator

IWC has an exciting opportunity to work within their Medical Centre as a full time Medical Administrator / Coordinator. This position operates on a rotating roster with varied start and finish (or last client) between 7.45am and 5.15pm.

The aim of this role is to support the Health and Medical Manager by providing high quality administration services to clients, patients, doctors, and clinical staff in a caring and supportive manner.

Experience Required:

  • Administration, Reception or similar

Experience Preferred: 

  • Experience in a similar role within Allied Health

  • Experience with Medicare Billing and HICAPS, would be preferred but is not essential.
