THERE were tears of joy among the guests as the sun set and the coloured downlights were switched on for the first time on Tuesday (17 March) to showcase the 80m-long pictorial screens that wrap the IWC Health & Wellbeing Complex in Bundaberg.
“HEARING issues can affect a child at any age, and it is vital to address these as soon as possible,” says IWC’s North Burnett Manager Jenni Toogood, a Health Professional with decades of experience in rural and remote communities.
“HOW can we show respect to self without disrespecting others?” That was just one of the questions posed to a group of Kepnock State High School Indigenous students as part of an eight-week Cultural Healing program delivered by IWC.
Fifteen IWC support staff from both the Bundaberg and North Burnett Home Care teams have received useful training on the topics of “The New Aged Care Quality Standards”, and “Mental Health and Older People”.
