Midwife
Dietitians

If you would like assistance around pregnancy, your new baby or family planning, the IWC has a friendly, supportive Midwifery service. It is offered in one-on-one sessions in Bundaberg and in the North Burnett at the IWC Gayndah Clinic.

The IWC Accredited Practising Dietitians can translate scientific nutrition information into practical, individually tailored advice that helps you make the right decisions about what you should eat.

Our Dietitians can offer nutritional advice on:

  • Chronic Disease Management  (CDM)

  • Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)

  • Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational)

  • Weight management

  • Food allergies and intolerances

  • Gastrointestinal issues

  • General healthy eating

Diabetes Education

Endocrinology (diabetes specialist)

IWC offers two Endocrinology services. Dr Tom Dover visits the IWC Health & Wellbeing Centre every two months, and Dr Ashim Sinha offers Telehealth Endocrinology on the third Wednesday of each  month.

Hearing & Health Checks

IWC provides hearing and health checks across Bundaberg and North Burnett. These are provided through school visits. Contact us for details.

Ophthalmology and Optometry

The IDEAS Van (Indigenous Diabetes and Eyes Screening) visits IWC every two months, bringing Specialist treatment in the areas of Ophthalmology and Optometry. View the mobile facility here.

IWC offers a range of psychology and clinical counselling services, and all our services are culturally responsive.
