“Healthy Lifestyle”
The Healthy Lifestyle Program Coordinator acts as a professional resource role across various healthcare sectors, agencies and groups. This includes, supporting and facilitating the implementation of healthy lifestyle initiatives, promoting and encouraging healthy lifestyle change by increasing the availability of group-based healthy lifestyle programs and training other facilitators to implement and deliver their own healthy lifestyle programs as part of the:

-Eat Well Queensland 2002-2010: Smart Eating for a Healthier State.

-Lighten Up to a Healthy Lifestyle.

-Living Strong - A Healthy Lifestyle Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.

-Be Active Queensland 2006-2010: A Framework for Health Sector Action for Physical Activity in Queensland.
The ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ core function/s aim is to encourage healthy lifestyle behaviour change through the provision of a number of quality group-based healthy lifestyle education sessions. These lifestyle modification sessions target adults at risk of chronic disease and focus on healthy eating, physical activity, stress management and long-term weight management. The coordinator maintains professional and community networks, participating in regular professional development and conducting ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the engaging primary prevention mechanisms
