“Family Program”

The "Family Program" is coordinated by the IWC and its primary purpose is to

provide a range of interactive educational information sessions to address the many

and varied issues affecting families today as well as strengthen the capacity of Indigenous

families to cope with family related concerns.

Active community participation in the family program enables individuals to gain valuable

knowledge in life skills that can have a positive influence on family relationships.  The

program coordinator organises and facilitates the program in conjunction with a number of

presenters including health professionals and specialists to implement a series of

workshops for Indigenous families and individuals to attend.
